The Kingdom of Zimbabwe was somewhat of a mystery. There haven't been many artifacts or writings recovered from Great Zimbabwe so we don't know much about the systems and inner workings of Great Zimbabwe.
The remains of Great Zimbabwe show early advancements in architecture and politics and even though we don't know much about the people of Great Zimbabwe or how their society operated, they show early advancement in African society before colonization.
